P e r s o n a l i t y :Anise is a very sweet and kind girl. She is likes being happy, but she is surprisingly shy and quiet. She loves singing when no one is around, especially when she is surrounded by plants and animals. Anise is very serene and hates to be a burden to anyone so she secretly hides her feelings behind false smiles and happiness.
Anise is a caring girl and will work hard to achieve her goal even if it means overcoming her shyness. Unexpectedly, she is much of a klutz but when it comes down to being serious, she will do her best not to humiliate herself. She will get agitated but will not start an outburst. Anise gets nervous and jittery when people praise her that’s why she will not try to attract people using ridiculous methods.
She never gets hyper. She has a calm aura because she doesn’t like to have people worry about her. Anise hates being spoiled and being treated like a child. She knows she will be alone in the future so she is independent and hates arrogant people who think they can con people for money or rely on other their whole lives.
H i s t o r y : Anise was a normal everyday girl. She and her family lived in England. Her family consists of three people, her father, her mother, and her. When she was born she had three redeeming features, her soft, white hair; her emerald green eyes; and her delicate voice.
She loved singing and her father used to listen to her sing every single time in her mother’s garden. Every day, she went outside to the bustling streets to buy groceries with her father. She took a glimpse around the stores, and something caught her eye. She ran across the street carefully, and held up a white umbrella with green frills. Her father glanced and saw how fascinated she was by it.
When she turned seven, her father hurriedly got a present for her, the light frilly umbrella, but at the intersection of the road, he got hit by reckless drunk and died. That day was extremely rainy and foggy. Anise went to her father’s funeral but she couldn’t cry at that moment, the only thing that was fully intact was the frilly umbrella. She felt so guilty for wanting that umbrella because if it wasn’t for that, he wouldn’t have rushed out to buy it and die. After the funeral, she was traumatized and started singing but tears fell from her eyes because her father wasn’t there to listen anymore.
She locked herself in her room and hid the umbrella deep inside her closet. Her mother worried for her because being in this house reminded her of her father. Her mom then decided to send Anise to London, where her Aunt, Uncle, and cousin live. Her Aunt and Uncle adored her because they weren’t able to have a daughter. She was as still and lifeless as a doll, and didn’t seem to have a will. Her cousin was a boy, a bit younger than her. He always asked why she wasn’t happy so he always picked flowers to make a crown for her. She became a bit more lively and happy because of her cousin’s effort. After that, she was sent home again.
She wasn’t as traumatized as before and could go outside again. She missed the flowers in her mother’s garden and dug out the umbrella her father got her. She finally opened it up, and inside was a note. The note read, “Happy Birthday Anise. Please always keep this with you even if we separate. When you grow older, this present will remind you of me.” She no longer had any more regrets.
One day she sang in her mother garden while tending the flowers. She then heard a loud thud and she ran back inside the house. Her mother collapsed on the floor, and near her was a puddle of blood. She called the doctor hurriedly and he said that she had less than a year to live if she had no medication. Anise thought about it. She started to sing on the street, but since she was so quiet, no one heard her and she was only able to earn a couple of coins.
A month passed but she still wasn’t able to earn enough money to buy her mother’s medication. She began to do three jobs at a time but she collapsed because of the stress and then was fired because she was under age. Then, when she had given up all hope, a circus passed by, and people handed out flyers and written on it were, “high pay, talent needed, and apply now!” She wanted to be an acrobat, a tight rope walker. Anise was very passionate about this and decided to apply. She used to do ballet so she has some flexibility and balance.
Here she is now, able to pay for her mother’s medication and bring smiles to many.
